Green Living Hout Bay is a
volunteer based initiative that
promotes awareness of
sustainable living and the
necessity for communities to
become more self-sufficient in
these rapidly changing times.
Talks and documentaries are
held on Wednesday evenings
in Hout Bay, see the schedule
of upcoming talks and dates
below.
This site is also a portal to
organisations working towards
more sustainable practices,
community building, waste
management, job creation,
natural health, energy saving,
organic markets, recycling,
food growing and children’s
eco-education.
Please join our mailing list if
you’d like to be informed about
local green activities, events
and projects in Hout Bay.
Join us for interesting talks or
documentaries on Wednesday evenings at
our new venue in Houtbay Main Rd (towards
Constantia Nek, before Spar - the old
Montessori school - now English in Africa)
We provide a platform for speakers on
sustainable living, changing consciousness,
health, healing, organic food, permaculture,
and other important issues, innovations or
ideas, related to a better way of living - that
you won’t find on TV or mainstream cinema.
These are relaxed social evenings where
you can meet like-minded people, engage in
lively discussions or simply enjoy some
food for thought.
7pm for 7.30pm til about 9.00pm

Upcoming Talks
Change is coming
... and a community that’s
prepared before hand, that
uses local resources, that
is not entirely dependent
on municipal water,
electricity and
supermarkets, will be far
better off - not to mention
benefiting the community,
the environment and their
health.
